I’m Dr. Elizabeth Lee Mizelle.

I am a physician turned lifestyle design consultant. Triple-Board Certified in Family Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine, I am also a proud herbalist, interior designer, and event planner. After over ten years working in primary care, I now expand my wellness practice through design, ceremony, and advocacy.

As a physician, I know that health disparities are real and that unspoken barriers to wellness exist for marginalized folk. The wellness industry simply does not cater to our needs. I am committed to creating a community that inspires attainable healthy choices which centers us.

Through The Harlem Docere, I curate my trusted products, and share my experiences and medical knowledge to uplift historically marginalized voices and foster inclusive, intentional-living rituals.  For those interested in my professional services, I founded PALM Wellness, my health advocacy business, as a way to spend more time with patients outside the office.

I’ve always moved through the world as both an artist and an intuitive healer — sensing what needs attention, beauty, and care. Over the years, that instinct has guided everything I create. I’ve transformed homes and medical offices using neuroaesthetics and biophillic design, crafting environments that feel like a deep exhale, infusing healing energy into the spaces where people seek refuge. I’ve planned soulful weddings, healing retreats, and been an image consultant for clients seeking personal transformation. To me, design is a devotional act — equal parts intuition and logistics, grounded in care and accentuated with beauty. My work blends clinical precision with creative flow, weaving together function, emotion, and cultural depth across interiors, wardrobes, gatherings, and daily rituals. Now, I offer that unique blend of planning, styling, and soulful space-making through my work as a creative lifestyle designer.
